WORLD WAR I EXCELSIOR
The Image Works is happy to present an exclusive World War I collection: the archives of the French daily newspaper Excelsior from our affiliate Roger-Viollet. In 1914, following the declaration of war, the newspaper recruited photographers and published more than 20 photographs a day. These newly digitized images have not been seen for nearly 100 years.
