PETIT PALAIS
The Petit Palais, Museum of Fine Arts of the City of Paris offers a panoramic view of fine arts from classical antiquity to the 20th century including paintings, sculpture, tapestries, objects d’art and icons. ANDRÉ ZUCCA COLLECTION
André Zucca (1897 -1973) was a respected French press photographer. In 1941, Zucca, was called by the German army to work on the propaganda magazine Signal. Zucca’s unexpected and rare color images of occupied Paris are controversial for presenting Parisian life as sunny and lively, largely undisturbed by the darkness of war.

THE AUTOCHROME
The lyrical and evocative imagery of autochromes are unique in photography. Invented by French brothers Auguste and Louis Lumière and patented in 1903, made available in 1907, the autochrome recently celebrated its centennial.
